A PoE system combines data and power over a single suitable network cable. The steps below are a general installation overview, not a replacement for a model-specific manual.
Check the recorder, cameras, suitable power supplies, network cables, monitor and, if needed, a suitable recording drive. Check which components are supplied before you begin.
Connect supported PoE cameras to the NVR's PoE ports. A recorder without PoE uses a suitable separate switch or individual camera power supplies. Follow the connection labels on the device.
Connect the monitor to the supported HDMI/HD or VGA output. Connect the recorder's LAN port to your router. Use the supplied or specified power adaptor for the recorder.
On first start-up, set the device account details, date and time. Check that the cameras are visible. Keep your chosen details secure.
Check the storage menu to see whether a suitable drive is recognised and configured. Make a test recording and play it back before completing the installation.
Use a recorder or camera that supports Bitvision. Connect it to the network and check the device menu to see whether P2P is available and online.
Download Bitvision from Google Play or the App Store. Open the app and sign in, or register an account if you want to use the account features.
Open device management and choose to add a device by serial number or QR code. Scan the device code. Do not confuse the device code with the QR code that only links to the app download.
Give the device a recognisable name and enter the requested device account details. These are the details for your recorder or camera, and are not necessarily the same as your app account details.
Select the added device and a camera channel in live view. Test it using your mobile connection too, so you know whether remote viewing works.

Live footage does not automatically mean that recordings are being saved. Check the storage status, chosen recording schedule, and correct date and time. Then play back a clip from each important camera channel.
Check the power supply, network cable and whether the camera is connected to a suitable port. If possible, test one camera with a different cable. Then check the device status and account details in the recorder menu.
First check that the recorder works locally and the internet connection is active. Check the P2P status on the device and make sure you have used the correct serial number or QR code.
Check that recordings actually exist for the selected date and correct channel. Also check the drive status, recording schedule and system time on the recorder.
Check app notifications, phone permissions and battery restrictions. Then check the event settings and support on the device.
Use your app account's recovery option if you have forgotten your app password. The recorder password is managed separately. Ask ASAT for the correct recovery procedure for your model.
A wide-angle lens gives a broader view. An adjustable lens or optical zoom can help you cover a specific spot further away. Compare models against the distance and detail you want to capture, and test the mounting position.
Infrared helps in the dark and usually produces a black-and-white image. Full colour and hybrid lighting models use their own lighting and sensor technology. Check how each model works and assess how much ambient light is available at your location.
Check camera resolution, recording channels, PoE ports, supported cameras and drive capacity. Your network also matters when expanding the system. Ask for confirmation if the source gives conflicting specifications.
These are the documents we found. A product datasheet provides specifications and is not a full installation manual.

Open PDFA general manufacturer guide; check that it applies to your recorder. It is not a model-specific Amiko manual.
Open PDFCheck app compatibility for the exact model variant. A reference to Android/iOS or ONVIF does not, on its own, mean that Bitvision is supported. ASAT can confirm the correct app and firmware.
WiFi describes the network connection. The WiFi models and kits in this overview also use a power supply; check the power requirements of your particular version.
The kits we found have an optional hard drive or do not include one. For a standalone NVR, check what is supplied and the suitable drive capacity separately.
No. A recorder may have more recording channels than physical PoE ports. If the model supports it, additional cameras can be connected through the network using a suitable PoE switch or power supply.
Some source pages give different values for the same feature. Uncertain details have been omitted or flagged for checking, so you can confirm them with ASAT.
That depends on drive capacity, the number of cameras, resolution, bitrate, compression and your recording schedule. There is no fixed retention period that applies to every system.
